Any work piece that is machined on magnetic tools or any other magnetic device retains a certain residue of magnetism. The degree of residual magnetism depends on the composition of steel. Since metallic dust automatically sticks to the cutting tools, dies, punches and measuring instruments, it causes false reading or creates unwanted problems. Erich demagnetizers de-magnetize all such work pieces easily and efficiently. All our demagnetizers operate on 220 V A C single phase at 50 Hz.
Plate Type Demagnetizers – It is ideal for tool rooms to de-magnetize drills, taps, cutting tools, dies, measuring instruments, etc. and also for small production runs. To de-magnetize a work piece (what ever be its length) slide it slowly across the top plate at right angles, passing it to clear the de-magnetizing field. One passage of the component will result in complete demagnetization. These are available in 3 standard sizes of 150mm x 115mm, 150mm x 230mm and 300mm x 115mm.
Tunnel Type Demagnetizers – This is a high efficient demagnetizer with different aperture dimensions for the demagnetization of materials of very small to very large dimensions, which can be passed through the aperture. The aperture must be of sufficient dimensions to permit the materials to be taken through it at a slow and constant speed to a point well away form the demagnetizing filed. For production line special chutes or conveyors can be ordered with it. The tunnel sizes available, are of sizes 100mm x 75mm, 150mm x 150mm, 200mm x 200mm, 250mm x 250mm and 500mm x 500mm.
